The Power of Your Frequently Asked Questions in Marketing

The Power of Your Frequently Asked Questions in Marketing

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a million times: your Frequently Asked Questions hold the key to creating engaging, customer service-oriented content on your social media. Using the answers to the questions your customers or potential customers consistently ask is the perfect starting point for your social posting strategy, but they can also be used repeatedly, in different ways.

Think about using your frequently asked questions in at least 3 formats:

  1. Answer the question simply in a graphic that you can post that has a one or 2 sentence answer.
  2. Create a video answering that same question with a little more depth or explanation to it.
  3. Write a blog answering one frequently asked question with a thorough answer that can then be turned into snippets for your social media.

Frequently asked questions make incredible content on your website. If people are asking you, they are also asking Google. Which means your answers could pop up in a search, generating lots of clicks and hopefully lots of business. But they may also be searching for these answers within social media. Which helps to re-engage old posts, too.

FAQs are not a once and done content piece, especially on social platforms. You can turn the answers into Stories, Reels and post occasionally for new followers. And over time questions may change.

You may need to guide people through setting up a subscription on your website, answer weather related questions if you’re hosting an event, do a video of where and how to park to shop. If your industry collides with hot news stories, ride the wave and answer questions your clients want to know. Explain how returns work. Let them know if they need to make appointments. Discuss shipping delays. Remind them why you would use a particular service of yours.  Remember, you’re in your business day in and day out. People browsing for what you have to offer are not. They will relate to you much easier if you have all of the useful information at hand!

If you’re struggling to use your business’ Frequently Asked Questions, reach out. It’s one of our specialties!
