Why Remarketing Works

But I marketed once. Do I really need to do it again?

In short, the answer is YES! Remarketing is a simple marketing strategy of showing ads to people who have already shown an interest in your products, services or brand. It has probably already happened to you. Have you ever shopped on a website or app, leave said site, go to another site like Facebook or Instagram and suddenly see ads for the company you just visited?

Yep, that’s remarketing. And we call it remarketing because the typical audience flow is:

Typical Remarketing Audience Flow

Remarketing is a form of building a digital relationship with the client. As you collect data (cookies) on the user via a pixel or code placed on your site, you can then use that data to target the user again, hopefully with info or products they really want to use.

Remarketing can increase ROI because you aren’t just shooting in the dark, but using info you already know about the client. Maybe they started an online cart but didn’t check out. Send them a “don’t forget this” email. Maybe they have read 3 blogs on the same topic on your site; show them an ad for a training on that exact subject.

Remarketing is simple but it does require some moving parts that can take some marketing expertise. We’re happy to discuss how a remarketing campaign could work for your business specifically as well as set up a remarketing strategy meeting. Give us a call or drop us a line; our team is looking forward to hearing from you!
