8 “Of the Day” Post Ideas, Unlimited Content Potential

Consistency is key when it comes to social media marketing. But to keep the ideas flowing when you have so much else on your plate? That’s where the struggle can come in.

Whether you’re posting for a small family-owned business or a large corporation, you can cut yourself some slack by creating content that has numerous variations from the same topic.

Users love to know what’s happening in your business. And since the average person uses social media for two and half hours per day, you want to quickly give them what they’re looking for and get their attention to slow their scroll.

Popular engaging posts that do just that are “of the day” posts. You can use this phrase in many ways across many different industries. You’ll give yourself a myriad of options as well as bring in more foot or web traffic with visitors.

Some “Of The Day” Ideas

Meal of the Day: great for restaurants, nutritionists, influencers, athletes/ athletic brands, education, food products/manufacturing, cookbook authors, kitchen shops, etc.

Deal of the Day: This works for virtually anyone who sells anything that can be put on special, put into a bundle, etc. Try it for businesses that sell food, makeup, clothing, jewelry, books and more.

Name of the Day: Offer a discount or free product to anyone with a specific name. Start by looking at the names of people who follow your social media page. Plus, people love to tag their friends in these kinds of posts.

Outfit of the Day: Try on videos are huge! If your business has anything to do with fashion, you’ll want to incorporate this into your social media schedule. Show off unique ways to wear things and you’re bound to get some “shares” of your content.

Tip of the Day: This one is straight forward… share tips your audience will love. The benefit to this type of content is that it works for both retail and professional businesses.

Sample of the Day: If your business offers samples, sort them and make the flavor or scent only available on certain days. This is great for soap shops as well as bakeries, ice cream shops as well as paint stores and anything in between. Online sales only? You can still offer a specific sample based on the day your customers place their order.

Quote of the Day: This is a great option for non-retail businesses, although it works for retail, too. Sharing a motivational or inspiring quote each day is an excellent way for attorneys, doctors, dentists, care-facilities, educators, home services, realtors, etc, to reach their audience in a meaningful way.

Piece/Product of the Day: If you are an artisan, a maker, musician, writer or creator of any kind, show off your works each day. Use these posts to get people excited about what you’ll come up with next!

There are so many options for content in any industry with start with the simple phrase “Of the Day.” As you incorporate this concept into your social media strategy, notice what works the best and you can see posts like this evolve into really exciting content. And bonus tip: if you can’t do this every day, change the phrase to “Of the Week” and it works just the same!
